Homebuyers in County Durham will be pleased to hear that Dunelm Homes have announced that HomeBuy Direct is available on selected plots throughout their new development in Bowburn.
This scheme is designed to make new homes more affordable to first time buyers or households earning less than £60,000 and therefore priced out of the market. There is more good news, work has already started on the main access roads to site, and therefore first completions will only be a few weeks away and expected this summer. So now is the ideal time to buy because you not only do you get a fantastic Dunelm deal, you can buy at pre-showhome prices!.
Whether you are a first time buyer, have a home to sell or simply need help finding the right mortgage, our Dunelm Homes friendly advisors have a wealth of experience and the right tools to help make buying your dream home a reality.

A Collection of Traditonally Designed Family Homes Situated By Seaham's Picturesque Harbour
Established housebuilder, Dunelm Homes, is the new name on Heritage Way in Seaham, Co. Durham. Their new homes development has a great location - in between Seaham's picturesque harbour and the multi million pound Byron Place shopping centre.
The news has brought relief to buyers who had reserved homes with the site's original developer, Edinburgh-based Highmore Homes, which went in to administration at the end of 2008.
Colin Willetts, Sales Director of Dunelm Homes explains:
"Buyers at Seaham can have renewed confidence - they're now dealing with a well-known, local, quality housebuilder and will benefit from the Dunelm Homes quality assurance guarantee.
We know that all those who had resereved a new home under the previous developer had stood to lose thousands of pounds in lost deposits before we bought the site. We've been in touch with everyone now; we've offered them a better deal - and we've promised to honour any deposit already paid".
Dunelm Homes has also confirmed a new release of traditional 3 and 4-bedroom family homes, with a selection of semi-detached homes and townhouses to choose from.
Prices start from just £124,995 for a 3-bedroom semi-detached hoem and £139,995 for a 3-bedroom semi with integral garage and en suite to master bedroom. In addition a quartet of three-storey 4 bedroom townhouses with garage are on offer from £147,995.
Colin continued:
"As property prices are just beginning to rise, we believe this is the perfect time to buy in an area which is benefiting from many exciting changes. It's a hidden jewel in the North East - in fact, in 2006, Seaham topped a Halifax survey as the top property hotspot in England and Wales with average prices seeing an increase of 172% over a 3-year period."
As a location for a new family home, the small town of Seaham is hard to beat. The area boasts the beautiful Durham 'heritage' coastline - and some of the country's best beaches are accessible within minutes.
These natural assets are complemented by nearby excellent shopping facilities which were opened in 2007. Byron Place features may well know brands and retailers.
The compex takes its name from the town's most famous former resident, Lord Byron who married a local landowner's daughter at Seaham Hall in 1815. The hall too has undergone a massive transformation and is now resplendent as a luxurious, award-winning 5-star hotel and Asian-style spa.
Seaham School of Technology draws support from the whole community with many clubs and activities taking place there outside of school hours.
For those needing to commute the options are excellent. The railway station operates trains to Newcastle upon Tyne, Sunderland, Hexham and Carlisle to the north. To the south are Hartlepool and Middlesbrough. The town's close proximity to the A19 also ensures excellent transport links to the north and south throughout Wearside, Tyneside and Teesside.
For further information on the beautiful homes available and to view at Heritage Way development, please contact Dowens Estate Agency on 0191 581 3355 from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 12pm on Saturday to arrange your personal inspection.

THE STUNNING NEW BRONTE SHOWHOME TAKES A BOW
AS DUNELM HOMES’ PRESENT THREE FINAL OPPORTUNITIES
TO CREATE A DESIGNER HOME AT ELMFIELD SQUARE.
Homebuyers considering a move to a prestigious new home in a highly
sought after location should put a note in their diary. Saturday
31st October sees the launch of a stunning new showhome, the Bronte, at
Dunelm Homes’ fabulous development, Elmfield Square, situated in the
highly sought after location of Gosforth, Newcastle.
The launch marks the final stage of the development with just three
properties remaining. Serious buyers should move quickly to ensure they
don’t miss the opportunity of a lifetime.
Prepared by Demon Interiors, the showhome has been prepared as a classic
family home with a contemporary twist. Classic furniture pieces include
regency chairs upholstered in modern fabrics whilst huge art deco
mirrors and bespoke art work set off this season’s warm shades of plum
and purple.
Traditionally a 5-bedroom home with separate study, the show home
features a games/chill out room rather than a fifth bedroom, showing
just how versatile these lovely homes can be.
This versatility is very much a theme of the final three homes. Buyers
will enjoy a rare opportunity to have a say on the final layout of their
home with the option of customising some of the rooms to suit their own
requirements.
For example, buyers might prefer a lounge/diner rather than separate
lounge and dining room or perhaps alter planned kitchen and bathroom
layouts.
Prices are from £649,995.
Gosforth boasts a cosmopolitan selection of bars and restaurants all
easily within walking distance, as is the town itself which features top
schools, stylish boutiques and leisure facilities for all the family.
For further information on this beautiful, gated development, or to
arrange for a personal guided tour, please contact Sanderson Young
Estate Agents on 0191 285 8805.
